Instructions to Update software license on Electricity Meter RFID Software

• Identify the PC with the license dongle :

  • (A license dongle also known as a hardware license key or software dongle USB is a piece of electronic hardware that can unlock a software license, provide copy protection for software, or decipher encrypted licensing content system.)

• Power-up and Logon to the PC:

  • Once in to the PC open File Explorer
  • By Pressing on this icon ↓

            
Or by pressing Windows Key + E (⊞+E):

• Next, open the USB drive, where you should find a program called dinkeychange.exe. Launch this software.

• 

  • You should now see this when the program starts.

     
     
    • You can now see the dongle number and the update number, which you may need when renewing the software licence. To update the licence, simply enter the new code into the text box and press the large blue button.
